Number 1:
Cala Formentor (North)
Cala Formentor or Playa de Formentor is a very popular beach in the north of Mallorca. If you visit it late in the day, there will be fewer people and you can admire the evening light. Cala Formentor is located 10 km from Port de Pollença. You can see the Tramuntana Mountains while enjoying the Mediterranean Sea. There are water activities available for hire and also two restaurants. Due to the pine trees, you can find shade there.

Number 2:
Es Calo des Moro (South-East)
A private foundation owns and cares for this beach, so it’s beautifully maintained and you won’t see any hotels or beach bars here. The water is crystal clear and you can relax surrounded by nature. You do have to climb down a lot of rocks to get here. The extra effort to get there makes it even more special. The beach itself is really small, so during the summertime, it could get a lot more crowded than for example in mid-May, but there’s also a neighbouring beach called Cala S’Almonia just a few minutes’ walk from Calo des Moro beach.

Es Trenc (South-East)
This beach is one of the best-known ones on the island of Mallorca, because of its Caribbean blue waters and bright white sand that extends over 2 km along the south of the island. It is located between the popular beach resort town, Colonia San Jordi, the flat wetlands of Ses Salines, where some of the best salt in the Balearics is produced, and Sa Rapita. Es Trenc is a relaxing beach, ideal for families.

Sa Calobra (West)
To get to this Beach you need a lot of nerves! It is a breathtaking drive with drops and many hairpins, but Sa Calobra beach is a must-do. The setting down there is beautiful, and you have to walk through a long tunnel in the mountainside to get to the beach. The beach has small stones instead of sand, but the water is amazingly clear and worth the adventurous journey! It might be the prettiest place to take a swim in Mallorca, as there are lots of fish and the surrounding cliffs made for some dramatic views.
