Mallorca inspired Oliver to create a unique holiday experience for his guests.
Oliver Bucher, a Swiss-born luxury furniture producer, is the visionary behind the brand Only Summer. After years of extensive travel for work and visiting amazing places, he sought a more grounded lifestyle. Which he found in Mallorca. An ideal location where he and his family could enjoy the sun, nature, and simple pleasures.
An old Farmhouse
The idea for LA FINCA by Only Summer emerged from Oliver's desire to create a unique and authentic down to earth holiday experience. Tired of the cookie-cutter luxury hotels, he envisioned a place that connected with the land and offered a genuine escape. When he discovered a 50,000-square-meter area in Mallorca, he knew that he had found the perfect place to bring his vision to life. Despite having no prior experience in the travel industry, Oliver poured his heart and soul into the project.
Oliver's philosophy of connecting with the land and nature was central to the design of LA FINCA.
Many advised him to choose a coastal location, but he was determined to prioritize the natural environment.
Inspired by his travels to Ibiza, Greece, and Morocco, he incorporated elements from these cultures into the finca’s design.
He collaborated with artists to bring his vision to life, using traditional techniques and materials from the island and around the world.
Nature is Key
The natural landscape plays a significant role in the LA FINCA experience and Oliver wanted to create a space, where every corner had a purpose. The expansive grounds offer stunning views and opportunities to connect with nature. From the Turquoise pool you can see the impressive Tramontana mountains, UNESCO’s world heritage.
The finca's own bio garden, with saisonal vegetables and surrounding fruit trees such as oranges, lemons or kumquats as well as olive trees, allow guests to experience the true essence of the land. They will receive fresh vegetables during their stay brought up to the house. Furthermore, this bio garden fascinated Oliver so much that he created also a seasonal cookbook.

True Happiness
Through Only Summer, Bucher has gained a deeper understanding of himself and his values.
“I realized that true happiness comes from simple pleasures and a connection to nature”, says Oliver about the journey of creating his brand.
LA FINCA has become a place where he can enjoy working with his hands, collaborating with people from different cultures, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Oliver's goal for Only Summer is to offer a unique holiday experience that transcends traditional tourism and includes its surroundings to be sustainable.
Offering now space up to 14 people, he also enjoys having events that honour nature and humandkind. That is why the biggest Yoga Festival in Europe has found a home at this finca since 2024.
While there are numerous beaches and restaurants on Mallorca, LA FINCA offers a quiet and above all private retreat, whether it's a relaxing stay during the hectic Christmas period or a crowded summer time. It's a place where you can unwind, connect with the beauty of the island and discover new sides to yourself.
An Italian Dream

LA VILLA in Italy follows a different story. Built by his father in San Venanzo thirty years ago with the dream of producing his own Italian wine, Oliver has always loved this Umbrian corner. It is there that his father crafted wines of exceptional quality with a marvellous revelation in every sip. After leading the winery for three decades Oliver’s father finally handed the reins to his son, who had already a dream to turn into reality.
La Dolce Vita
After his experience with LA FINCA in Mallorca, Oliver knew that this concept belonged also to LA VILLA in Umbria, Italy. The beautiful Italian landscape, the rolling green hills of Umbria, the typical lifestyle of the Italian people and of course their specialities have always fascinated Oliver. And that is why he wanted to offer this to other people, too. For this reason, several projects have emerged from this creative mind in recent years.
With the new event area Orangerie and its culinary concept Degosteria, Oliver aims to bring the traditional LA DOLCE VITA to his clients.
The first step for Oliver was to continue the family tradition of winemaking, modernise the business and integrate the latest technology into the winery, but also to open up the villa to his guests. The two luxurious bedrooms and two studios can accommodate up to 12 people.
The winery is the heart of LA VILLA, where you can treat yourself to a wine holiday. Taste new creations like the red wine “Rosso Vulcano” or the rosé “Rosado”. These are just a few things Oliver came up with since taking over.
The event area
Among other services you can now book a helicopter who brings you directly to the villa, landing in front of the classic main house or a truffle hunt to enjoy fresh truffle pasta at our event area at the bottom of LA VILLA’s hill: the Orangerie.
Oliver is a connoisseur of good taste and not only offers every guest at LA VILLA a free wine tasting, but has also developed a new culinary concept: the Degosteria. This magical place is a real treat! Not only does it offer a breathtaking view of the heart of Italy, but also an enchanting terrace that is perfect for cosy evenings and unforgettable moments. Weekly specials ensure a varied and exciting flavour experience. Guests can embark on a delicious journey that will delight their senses and their palates!
At the Orangerie guests can enjoy exclusive wine tastings of the Winery’s produce overlooking Umbria’s rolling hills and discover Italy’s culinary specialities.
Whether it is a birthday party or a wedding celebration, the Orangerie with its new Degosteria is truly a magical place to create lasting memories.
It is all in the name
The name Only Summer reflects the focus on a carefree, outdoor lifestyle. That is why Oliver also created products that honour this concept such as luxury furniture, exclusive wine, ecological amenities, bio olive oil as well as honey from LA FINCA.
Oliver’s mission: “With this brand, we not only want to offer a unique escape, but also combine nature and luxury in European holiday homes.”
